West Byfleet is a village in the north-east of Woking borough, with its own railway station on the Waterloo main line, making it a popular commuter neighbourhood. It has a compact village centre with a parade of shops, supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants around Station Approach and Old Woking Road.
The village is close to the Basingstoke Canal and the West Hall and Pyrford area, and has good schools and community facilities. Its combination of a fast rail link and village amenities makes it one of the more sought-after parts of the borough.
