Woking Park and Pool in the Park: A Family Guide
Woking Park brings together the town’s leisure centre, a splash-filled swimming complex, and open green space.
Woking Park, off Kingfield Road on the south side of the town, is the borough's main leisure hub and a popular spot for families.
Pool in the Park
The park's swimming complex, Pool in the Park, is run by Freedom Leisure and is built for fun as well as fitness. It features a leisure lagoon with a "lazy river" ride, flumes, and fun water features, alongside a 25-metre competition pool and a separate teaching pool for lessons.
Woking Leisure Centre
Next door, Woking Leisure Centre offers a gym, fitness studios, indoor and outdoor sports pitches, and a café. Between the two venues there is provision for everything from casual family swims to structured fitness and team sport.
Green space and history
Woking Park is also notable for the town's pioneering approach to sustainable energy — it was home to an early combined heat and power (CHP) and fuel-cell scheme, part of Woking's long-standing reputation for local energy innovation.
